SPRINGFIELD, Va. (Wireless Flash) – Miss America may get more attention, but the real babes are at the Mrs. America pageant. And the reason why just may be because the competitors are moms. Take the current Mrs. America, for example. Laurett Ellsworth Arenz has seven kids, and says giving birth has been a big motivator to get her bod in tip-top shape. “You see your body fall apart [after pregnancy] and you think to yourself, ‘I’ve got to fix this,”’ she says. Another way moms make better beauty queens is there’s less cattiness. Ellsworth Arenz says most Mrs. America contestants are friendly and happy to share beauty secrets backstage with each other. “There’s less of that cattiness among married women,” she says. “They have families so the pageant is not the end-all for them.”
