Skin Care Expert Burnt Up Over Sheryl Crow Song
Skin Care Expert Burnt Up Over Sheryl Crow Song
LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) Sheryl Crow may write catchy songs but you dont want to take skin care advice from her. Thats the word from Los Angeles-based cosmetic surgeon Dr. Nathan Newman, who fears that music fans who hear Crows hit Soak Up The Sun will take her seriously. Newman says theres nothing good about soaking up the sun and fears folks who listen to Crow will end up with wrinkles, leathery skin and skin cancer. Although Crows lyrics do recommend using suntan lotion with at least a 45 Skin Protection Factor, Newman fears that line gives a false impression that sunscreen prevents all sun damage. In truth, Newman says any kind of a tan is a sign of sun damage and nothing to sing about. The doc admits Soak Up The Sun IS a catchy little number but hopes to convince sunbathers to only listen to it when theyre indoors.
