BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (Wireless Flash) – When Beverly Hills-based dermatologist Dr. Armand Newman wants to zap a patient’s zits, he reaches for his trusty laser beam. Then, just like Luke Skywalker honing in on the Death Star, he shoots his target, making the pimple-causing bacteria self-destruct. Dr. Newman is one of just a few dermatologists using the new procedure, but he thinks it’s the wave of the future because it gets rid of zits and redness much quicker than other acne treatments. He uses his lasers to treat breakouts on all parts of his patients’ bodies, including the face, back and rear end – and says the derriere is a major area of concern because it hurts to sit on zits. The price for the laser-wielding doc’s treatments? Anywhere from $75 to $150 per two-minute session.
