Would You Pay $600,000 for a Potty-less Ship?
REYKJAVIK, Iceland (Wireless Flash) Would you pay $600,000 for a boat without a bathroom? Thats the asking price for a 75-ft long, 80 ton replica of a Viking ship circa 870 AD thats being sold on eBay by Icelandic sea captain Gunnar Marel Eggertsson. Eggertsson who claims to be a direct descendent of Viking explorer Leif Erikson built the bathroomless boat for a voyage he made in 2000 to reenact one of Eriksons historical journeys. Bathroom or not, he says hes willing to sail the ship, named Gaukastad, to whoever is willing to shell out $600,000 as long as they are in Iceland. Otherwise, the buyer will have to pay for the ships shipping since sending it UPS would cost more than its worth. The auction is currently running on eBay.
