LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) – Some soap opera fans are just as obsessed with cookies as they are their shows, if a new contest is any indication. Mrs. Fields Cookies is co-sponsoring a cookie contest with the NBC soap Days Of Our Lives, with the winning chef receiving a walk-on role. The contest is accepting recipes until April 30 but a Mrs. Fields spokeswoman says dozens of wannabe winners have been calling headquarters every day asking who they have to butter up to win. Some budding bakers are more confident. One woman is so sure she’ll win the contest that she’s told execs she’s planning her honeymoon around her victory.
