CNN Flies Away With Flying Pig Award

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (Wireless Flash) – CNN has just won an award for its post-9/11 coverage – but it’s probably not one they want to accept. The network has just won something called the “Flying Pig Award,” which is given out every April Fools Day to scientists, journalists and others who promote ridiculous ideas concerning the paranormal. Awards sponsor James Randi says CNN deserves the award for devoting a whole day to discussing whether Satan can be seen in smoke from the World Trade Center disaster. Crossing Over star John Edward also wins a Flying Pig for convincing people he’s psychic just by playing “Twenty Questions.” Randi will officially announce all the winners later today (Apr. 1) – but jokes they’ve already been notified via telepathy and the trophies are being sent via psychokinisis.
