SHOULD CHARLES BRONSON BOOZE IT UP?
BALTIMORE, Md. (Wireless Flash) Charles Bronson may be able to battle his Alzheimers disease by hitting the bottle. It has just been announced the 81-year-old Death Wish star suffers from the disease but, according to the latest issue of Alcoholism: Clinical And Experimental Research, a bottle of wine a day can keep dementia at bay in elderly folks. In fact, only 19 percent of oldsters who drank daily suffered cognitive derangement, compared to 29 percent of non-drinkers. However, the Rome-based researchers say women only need to throw back half a bottle of the sauce each day to enjoy alcohols senility-slowing effects. No one knows if 81-year-old Bronson plans to treat his Alzheimers with booze, but doctors recommend he talk with his doctor first before giving it a shot or two.
