MICHIGAN RESIDENTS ARENT LION ABOUT COUGARS AFTER ALL
ST. CHARLES, Mich. (Wireless Flash) For years, residents in Northern Michigan have reported seeing cougars, only to be ignored by biologists who insist the critters have been extinct in the state since 1906. But it turns out the locals werent lion after all according to a wildlife expert who has examined plenty of cougar tracks and cougar poo in Michigan. Patrick Rusz says evidence suggests about 100 of the big cats are living in remote areas of Michigan although other experts claim the cougars are merely very large house cats. Rusz says he cant accept that theory because most kitties cant walk away with a 70-pound horse.
