PETER CRISS TO BECOME SALOON SINGER
NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) Former Kiss drummer Peter Criss now wants to become a jazz cat. Criss wants be the next Frank Sinatra and is recording a CD of songs like I Got You Under My Skin and Witchcraft. Its hard to imagine the man best known for the power ballad Beth singing lounge lizard classics but Criss says hes always liked jazz and even studied drums with big band legend Gene Krupa. Although the music is the main reason why Criss is going lounge, he says theres a more pragmatic reason: Its hard to wear seven-inch heels when you get older. But reviving the Rat Pack isnt the only project on Criss docket. Hes also writing a childrens book and will make his acting debut on the HBO drama, Oz, early next year.
