‘HAPPY DAYS’ – THE MUSICAL

BURBANK, Calif. (Wireless Flash) – Aay! Fonzie is trading in his motorcycle for a pair of dancing shoes. Producer Garry Marshall has put together a new musical based on his hit sitcom Happy Days which will show Richie, Ralph Malph and the rest of the Arnold’s gang hoofing and singing Broadway-style. A rough version of Happy Days: The Musical will be staged October 21-23 at a theater in Burbank, California, and it’s hoped the show will eventually make it to Broadway. Besides bringing back classic characters like demolition derby babe Pinky Tuscadero and the evil Malachi Brothers, the musical will introduce a new character: Fonzie’s dad. He’s described as a “tough merchant marine” in his 40s who also has a sensitive side.
