LOS ANGELES MAN BUILDS HIS OWN ‘GARAGE MAJAL’
LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) – You’ve heard of the Taj Majal – well a Los Angeles man has built himself the “Garage Majal.” Car buff Bruce Meyer’s garage is larger than most homes: a spacious 2000 square feet that houses his collection of classic cars and car memorabilia – including Clark Gable’s old Mercedes and Evel Knievel’s jumpsuit. The exterior of the gargantuan garage is covered with ivy and fake windows to resemble a guest cottage, while the gallery-like interior has skylights and a ceramic tile floor. It’s even been retrofitted to protect against earthquakes. Meyer says his unique garage is like a living room – he spends lots of time hanging out there with friends and family. The high-class garage will be featured this Sunday on the Home and Garden Television series, Extreme Garages.
