CANINE CHAPEL HAS ITS OWN DOGMA
CANINE CHAPEL HAS ITS OWN DOGMA
ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (Wireless Flash) Churches are going to the dogs thanks to an artist who has built the worlds first chapel for canines. Stephen Huneck says he spent $200,000 to construct the white clapboard chapel near St. Johnsbury, Vermont, which features stained glass windows of black labradors wearing halos and pews carved to look like dogs. Theres also a special doggie door for Rover to enter the hairy house of worship and a homespun plaque outside the chapel states the holy places motto: All creeds, all breeds, no dogma. Huneck says the canine church is a place where both dogs and owners can commune, and claims hes never heard a dog bark or seen a dogfight among the four-legged worshippers.
