PARACHUTE PANTS MAKING A COMEBACK

DETROIT (Wireless Flash) – Lock up your children: Parachute pants are making a comeback. The zippered nylon trousers were only popular for a short period in the mid-80s, but are becoming hip again thanks to a Detroit man who purchased the last known lot of authentic parachute pants. Scott Taylor claims he’s the only person in the world still selling the original Bugle Boy brand pants – and he has only 5800 pairs left. The tight trousers sell for anywhere from $32 to $86 and come in classic 1980s colors like turquoise and tan. Taylor says the popularity of today’s cargo pants has helped his business along because the style is similar.
