PARACHUTE PANTS MAKING A COMEBACK
PARACHUTE PANTS MAKING A COMEBACK
DETROIT (Wireless Flash) Lock up your children: Parachute pants are making a comeback. The zippered nylon trousers were only popular for a short period in the mid-80s, but are becoming hip again thanks to a Detroit man who purchased the last known lot of authentic parachute pants. Scott Taylor claims hes the only person in the world still selling the original Bugle Boy brand pants and he has only 5800 pairs left. The tight trousers sell for anywhere from $32 to $86 and come in classic 1980s colors like turquoise and tan. Taylor says the popularity of todays cargo pants has helped his business along because the style is similar. Still, he admits most of his customers are what he calls cultish 80s people. You can check out the retro-pants at Parachute-pants.com
